Kenai Peninsula College

Kenai Peninsula College is a unit of the University of Alaska Anchorage, and is one of four community campuses. The student body comprises more than 2,600 students [1] at 4 locations.

Locations

  • The Kenai River Campus (KRC) is located in Soldotna, Alaska, and serves the Central Kenai Peninsula.
  • The Kachemak Bay Campus (KBC) is located in Homer, Alaska, and serves the Southern Kenai Peninsula.
  • The Resurrection Bay Extension Site is located in Seward, Alaska.
  • The Anchorage Extension Site is located in Anchorage, Alaska, and provides Process Technology and Occupational Safety and Health training courses.

  • The Kenai Fishing Academy (KFA) is a week long training session that teaches students how to improve their fishing skills.
  • The Kenai Fishing Guide Academy is a week-long training session for professional Kenai River guides, required by the Alaska State Department of Parks and Recreation (who help manage the Kenai River).
  • The Kachemak Bay Writers Conference is a 4 day conference that includes nationally acclaimed and award winning authors [3]
  • The Semester By The Bay is a program that brings students to the shores of Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska, to study for a semester
