Ken Ryker, born August 17, 1972, in Jeonju, South Korea, is the stage name of an American pornographic actor who appeared in gay, straight and bisexual pornographic movies. He was raised in Texas, but now resides in California.
Life and career
After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, but was discharged due to a car accident. At this point, in his early 20s, he moved to the San Fernando Valley with his then-girlfriend. He got an agent and began to model for pornographic magazines and perform at strip clubs.[citation needed]
In 1995, Ryker won "Best Newcomer" at the Adult Video News Awards.[citation needed] His 1996 film, The Other Side Of Aspen IV, is one of the most-rented gay videos of all time. Ryker has also been very successful with bisexual movies. Three years after his "Best Newcomer" award, in 1998, Ryker and Steve Harper won the award for "Best Duo Sex Scene" at the Adult Erotic Gay Video Awards, for their performances in Ryker's Revenge (Men of Odyssey).[citation needed]
In 2000, he settled in Los Angeles, California, and began working for Frixion Lube, a sexual products company, distributing its products.[2] In early 2009, he stopped working at Frixion Lube and began working in real estate.[citation needed] He has not made a pornographic film for some years. [citation needed] He is openly bisexual and has had both gay and straight relationships.[3]
