The Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth is a clergyman of the Scottish Episcopal Church, in which he serves as Rector and Provost of the Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin, Glasgow.

Religious life

His appointment to St. Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow was announced simultaneously there and at St. Saviour's Church on Bridge of Allan on Sunday 5 February 2006. He was instituted at St. Mary's Cathedral on the Feast of the Visitation - 31 May 2006.

Holdsworth was ordained Deacon at St Ninian's Cathedral, Perth on 4 July 1997.

Political life

Holdsworth stood for the Bridge of Allan ward of Stirling Council in May 2003.^[2]

Holdsworth stood for the Westminster Parliament in the constituency of Stirling at the 2005 General Election as the Liberal Democrat candidate coming third behind the Labour and Conservative Party candidates.^[3]^[4] He was listed at number 91 of the most influential LGBT people in the UK in 2012 ^[5]
