Kelvin Heights

Kelvin Heights

Kelvin Heights also called the Kelvin Peninsula is a suburb of the town of Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand. Most of the housing of this suburb is near Peninsula Road and is at the base of Peninsula Hill. It is one of the most expensive suburbs in New Zealand to buy a house in–with the median house value at about one million (NZD).[1]

Part of the suburb of Kelvin Heights

As well as residential housing Kelvin Heights features part of the The Queenstown Trail which runs between the suburb and the Frankton Arm section of Lake Wakatipu. It also has a golf course and a Christian camp which is over 50 years old.

At one time public access to the prominent Deer Park Heights part of Peninsula Hill (which has several ex-film locations as well as a range of farm animals) was from off Peninsula Road but currently this is closed.[2]
