Keith Alan Brantly (born May 23, 1962) is an American former long-distance runner who represented the United States at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Brantly competed in the men's marathon, and finished twenty-eighth of 111 runners who completed the race, in a time of 2:18:17.[1]
Brantly attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he ran for the Florida Gators track and field team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) competition from 1980 to 1983. He received All-American honors in the indoor two-mile run and twice in the 10,000-meter run. Brantly won the SEC outdoor championships in the 10,000 meters in 1982 and 1983.
He graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science in 1986, and was later inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame.
