The Kehoe Cup is an annual hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 1977 for inter-county and third-level hurling teams in the province of Leinster in Ireland. The Kehoe Cup is named after Michael Kehoe (Wexford), former GAA President (1949–52) and Chairman of the Leinster Council (1942–44).[1] The competition is mainly contested by second and third-tier hurling teams from Leinster (which excludes Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Wexford) although in various years, changes in the format have allowed these stronger teams enter and win the Kehoe Cup. The competition now also includes teams from the provinces of Ulster and Connacht. In its inaugural year, Wexford beat Kilkenny in the final by 2-13 to 1-15.[2] The 2011 tournament was won by Meath who beat Wicklow in the final by 0-16 to 1-11.[3]
