Kaylee (also commonly spelt Kayley and Kayleigh) is a female given name formed through the combination of the names Kay and Lee. Kay is an English short form of the name Katherine, while Lee means "pasture" in English.[citation needed] Alternately, it is sometimes considered as an Anglicized version of the Irish Gaelic céilidh, a type of social dance or party in Ireland and Scotland.
