Kathryn Janis Grody (born November 6, 1946) is an American actress/writer. After winning two Obies for her off-Broadway work, she wrote an autobiographical play called A Mom's Life.[1]

Grody was born Los Angeles, California. She has been married to actor/singer Mandy Patinkin since 1980 and they have two children, Isaac and Gideon. Grody is actor Noah Wyle's godmother.[1]
