Dame Catherine Winifred "Kate" Harcourt DNZM (born 16 June 1927) is a New Zealand actress who has appeared in numerous New Zealand theatre productions, films and TV shows. She has also worked extensively in radio. In New Year Honours 1996 Harcourt was appointed as a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her contribution to theatre.[1] She is the mother of actress Miranda Harcourt and Fair Go TV presenter Gordon Harcourt.[2][3]
