Karlheinz Hackl

Karlheinz Hackl (born 16 May 1949, in Vienna, Austria) is an Austrian actor whose varied career has included theater, television, film and cabaret performances as well as directing.

He is a frequent movie actor who has worked with the likes of Axel Corti and Alan J. Pakula (Sophie's Choice).

Hackl teaches at the Max Reinhardt Seminar school of drama in Vienna. Since 1997 he has been married to Austrian actress Maria Köstlinger. They have a daughter named Melanie.
