Karkaj (Persian: كركج; also known as Gargaj, Karga, Kargaj, Kargeh, and Kiarga)[1] is a village in Meydan Chay Rural District, in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,228, in 2,162 families.[2]
