Karatal District (Kazakh: Қаратал ауданы) is a district of Almaty Province in Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the town of Ushtobe.[2] Population: 47,760 (2013 estimate);[1] 47,824 (2009 Census results);[3] 46,744 (1999 Census results).[3]
