Kapucu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kapucu (Turkish pronunciation: [kapudÊ’u]; also spelled Kapudju, or Capugiu in Romanian) was designated official envoy of the Ottoman Sultan in medieval Wallachia and Moldovia. His missions are mostly associated with, but not limited to, the recalling of subject Hospodars (in many cases, followed by their imprisonment or swift execution).
