Kanyakumari Railway Station (Station code: CAPE) is the biggest station in Kanyakumari District. Its a part Trivandrum railway division. Its the southern most railway station in India. The Kanyakumari rail station lies within close proximity to the main city. The railway service in Kanyakumari is well developed. The distance of Kanyakumari railway station from the Kanyakumari beach is only 1 km. Kanyakumari maintains a good communication with some of the major cities of India with the help of its railway network. The railway route from Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari is currently considered to be the longest railway route.
