Kantrianika

Kantrianika (Greek: Καντριάνικα) is a neighbourhood in the city of Patras. The origin of the name comes from a factory which existed during the Byzantine period. For the origin of the word is (kantra (καντρια) + Ioanni (Ιωάννη meaning John)) and means the factory of John. Today, the area features the soldiers.
