Kannithi Aviation Co. Ltd, operating as Kan Air, is a domestic airline currently based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Kan Air operates charterd and scheduled services throughout the Northern region of Thailand. The main hub is Chiang Mai International Airport, Chiang Mai. The route network consists of destinations such as Chiang Mai to Pai, Mae Hong Son, Nan, Phitsanulok and Khon Kaen.
History
Kan Air, owned by Kannithi Aviation Company Limited, started operations on 24 September 2010. The head office is located at 100/519 Village No. 2, Chaeng-Wattana Road, Thungsonghong, Laksi, Bangkok and was founded by Captain Somphong Sooksanguan as President and Mrs. Saychon Sibmong as CEO. The authorized capital is 200,000,000 Thai Baht (THB). The company also provides freight services on both domestic and international routes. This helps stimulating Thai economy to expand in several provinces by improving the transportation alternatives in remote areas, providing rapid transport of freight, and offering valuable air traveling cost to customers. Kan Air aims to commit to high standard of passenger service and emphasize in increasing tourism movement in the Northern part of Thailand.
In addition to its core business of commercial air transportation services, Kan Air assume social responsibilities and contributions in several ways such as free delivery of medical instrument administration and supllies for main hospitals of its destined provinces.
Destinations
Kan Air currently operates chartered and scheduled flight services with Cessna Grand Caravan C208B aircraft. The aircraft is operated by 2 pilots and has capacity for 12 passengers. Current destinations from Chiang Mai International Airport are:
- Mae Hong Son Airport (3 flights per day)
- Pai Airport (3 flight per week)
- Phitsanulok Airport (4 flights per week)
- Nan Airport (2 flight per week)
- Khon Kaen Airport (Currently unavailable)

Services
- Scheduled Flight
With its current main base in Chaing Mai, Kan Air operates its daily and weekly scheduled service to destinations in Northern and North-eastern parts of Thailand.
- Chartered Flight
With its base in Don Muang International Airport, Kan air also provides more direct route to a destined locations than a commercial flight. As well as flying in comfort, chartering a private jet allows passengers to fly to their schedule, fly to smaller airfields closer to their final destination, and avoid the queues and chaos of major airport terminals.
- Medical Escort Service
Kan Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thailand Medical Emergency (สถาบันการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินแห่งชาติ สพฉ.) for transporting patients who are in critical conditions and/or who requires professional assistantance from one place to another specialized hospital.
