Kamran Michael

Kamran Michael is a Pakistani politician and member of the cabinet in National Assembly. He belongs to the Christian community.[1]

Mr Kamran Michael son of Mr M L Michael was born on October 9, 1973 in Lahore. He graduated in 1995 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. A businessman, who served as Member, District Assembly Lahore during 2001-02; as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second term in general elections 2008 against one of the eight seats reserved for non-Muslim minorities. He is functioning as Minister for Human Rights and Minorities

His father Mr. M. L. Micheal elected seven times as a member of Lahore Municipal Committee. He has three ministries in Punjab government e.g. Finance, Human Rights and Minority Affairs. After a long time, a Christian Leader presented the budget 2011-2012 of the Punjab government. He is also first Christian member of Senate of Pakistan and now a days he is been appointed as Minister of Ports and shipping in the cabinet of Nawaz Shrief
