Kamembe International Airport is an airport near Cyangugu and Kamembe in Rwanda (IATA: KME, ICAO: HRZA). RwandAir operates 13 weekly flights to and from Kigali, with a Dash 8-100. The airport receives others flights from Tanzania, Uganda and DR Congo. Early in 2010, the Rwanda Gouvernement announced that Kamembe will be modernised.[2] In end of 2012, the new terminal was completed. A new control tower was opened, as well new navigations systems were installed, by Technosky.[3] In May 2013, during a visit, the Rwandan minister of infrastructure announced, that the runway will be expended by 2014.[4]
