Kalol INA is a town in Gandhinagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[1] Kalol INA had a population of 112013 Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Kalol INA has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 56%. In Kalol INA, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. The city is going to become an important suburb of Ahmedabad.
Transportation: Kalol Lies on the main railway line connecting Ahmedabad to Jaipur, Marwad, Abu, New Delhi and other North Indian states. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) Buses are available from all Major cities of Gujarat.Kalol Railway Station is on the Western Railways:Ahmedabad-Mehsana line. The main train connections include Ranakpur Express, Ahmedabad-Delhi Mail, Aravalli Express and Ahmedabad-Patan Passenger. The Nearest airport is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport of Ahmedabad about 35 KM. Highway connecting Ahmedabad to Abu-Ambaji also passes through the town. The famous Adalaj Step well is about 18 km.
State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) facility is also available at two bus stand in kalol. Ambica bus stand at kalol is convenient to get transport for anywhere in Gujarat.
The town is an important industrial center with many industries in and near town of Chhatral. Sintex (Plastic Giant)and Bharat Vijay Mill (Cloth Manufacturer) are situated in Kalol. Asahi Songwon Colors Limited leading Pigment Manufacturer of India has its head office at Chhatral besides its another manufacturing plant in vadodara. Heavy Metal and Tubes Ltd. has 3 manufacturing units at Chhatral road and a corporate office at Ahmedabad. The IFFCO is located at Kasturinagar, Kalol.

Education
Education is available up to Masters degree at P.H.G. Municipal Arts and Science College. (M.Com, M.A.) Primary, secondary and higher secondary education is provided by the schools in town. Schools are there for both Gujarati and English medium of instructions. some of the schools are CARAVAN ENGLISH MEDIUM, MGS High School, PKS High School, Girls School, Shantiniketan Rotary Vidhyalaya (REM school).
Caravan English Medium is very reputed and excellent school of Kalol. It has got primary and secondary sections. Its principals are USHA madam and MANJULA madam respectively.
Science Stream Higher Secondary Education initiated by Amrit Vidhyalaya has put Kalol on the top of the list at the district level. As this is being written, for last 3 years students from Amrit Vidhyalaya have top the 12th science exam at the district level. Science stream education at Vakhariya P.J.High School is very famous and eminent teachers are provided by the school.
Higher education is limited to Bachelors College affiliated with Gujarat University. College provides degrees in major of Commerce, Arts and Law. Also P.P.Chauhan Institute for computer education (BCA) situated at Alindra four-crossing, kalol.
Computer education is located at I.T.C.T. Computer Academy, Kalol.
