Kaliam Awan (Urdu: كليام اعوان) is a town in Gujar Khan Tehsil Punjab, Pakistan. Kalyam Awan is also chief town of Union Council Kalyam Awan which is an administrative subdivision of the Tehsil.[1] It is located at 33°25'0N 73°13'0E at an elevation of 536 metres
Introduction
Kaliam Awan, also famous as Kaliam Shareef is the place where the shrines of Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra), and Hazrat Khwaja Fazal ud Din Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra) are situated. They are two famous Sufi Saints of the Potohar plateau.

Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra) was the son of Shehzada Rooh ullah Baig, the grandson of Shehzada Muhammad Muazzam Bahadur Shah I, and the great grandson of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir. In mid 19th century, Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra) was passing through a bazar in Delhi where he met a dervish, who at first sight, caught the spiritual spark of the young prince. He, after eating a meal on Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra)'s expense, urged him to go to "Jalalabad"-(now in India) and meet Khwaja Mazhar Ali Shah (ra). Khwaja Mazhar Ali Shah (ra) was a Sufi of Sabria descent, who took the responsibility of training him the norms and customs of Sufi-ism. He memorised the Holy Quran in one month in Landi Pati (now India).Khwaja Mazhar Ali Shah (ra)instructed Hazrat Hafiz Muhammad Shreef (r.a) to Kaliam Awan and a child will born in Pothohar, its is therefore your dulty to train him spiritually. Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra) came to Kaliam Shreef and there he worked hard in God's worship. When he met Khwaja Fazal ud Din (ra), a young boy at that time, he showed great gratitude twoards him which then turned into a great spiritual connection between both. Before his death Hazrat Khwaja Hafiz Muhammad Shareef Khan Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra)granted khilafat by Hazrat Khwaja Fazal ud Din Chishti Sabri Kaliami (ra). Hazrat Khawaja Fazal-u-din Kalyami known as baba ji (Ba'ji Kalyami) Kalyami, an Aarif e Kamil and renounced Wali dived deep in the ocean of eternity and devine love of Allah SWT, he reached a highest rank (in spiritualism) of FARD-U-ZAM.
