Kahn Design is a British-based engineering company that specialises in producing bespoke vehicles. Owned by Afzal Kahn with a factory in Bradford, the company was originally incorporated in 1998 as A Kahn Design Limited.[1] Initially the company designed and sold alloy wheels, but in 2003 developed into car design modifications and traded as Project Kahn and subsequently into Kahn Design. As of 2011, the company employs 80 people, including 20 designers.[2]

Vehicles

The company design and manufacture car parts for restyling high-end cars. Range Rovers are a core part of the business but cars like Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Aston Martin are also included in the portfolio.[3]

The company recently entered a deal with Jeep and created The Chelsea Truck Company to sell a conversion of the Jeep Wrangler.[4]

Engine modifications on the Kahn Cosworth Range Rovers are carried out by Northamptonshire-based Cosworth.[5][6]

The company has sold a number of vehicles to showbiz clients such as Justin Bieber[7] and Katie Price.[8]

Kahn Range Rover Cosworth RS600

The Kahn Cosworth RS600 is a modified Range Rover 5.0-litre Supercharged, with an increase of power to 555 bhp (414 kW; 563 PS) and torque of 600 lb·ft (813 N·m) resulting in a 4.5-second 0-60 mph time.[9]

Kahn Range Rover Sport RS300 Cosworth

Based on the Range Rover Sport, the RS300 features a new set of bumpers, wheels and interior trimming.[10]

Kahn Range Rover Evoque RS250

Based on the 2.2 diesel Range Rover Evoque, the RS250 retains the standard engine, but modifies the external bumpers, wheels and exhaust system, together with significant internal re-trimming.[11]

Project Kahn Maybach 57

Kahn Design prepared a special Maybach 57 featuring Kahn's own 4 HRH numberplate[12] to celebrate the 2011 Royal Wedding between HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton.[13]

Kahn Land Rover Defender 2.2 Chelsea Wide Track

Kahn Design prepared a Defender featuring a Harris Tweed Interior, significant exterior detailing, wheels & exhaust system.[14]
