Kadugodi
Coordinates: 13°0′2.26″N 77°43′38.76″E / 13.0006278°N 77.7274333°E Kadugodi is a locality in Whitefield, Bangalore in the state of Karnataka. Kadugodi comes from "kadu" & "Gudi" meaning "temple in a forest". Sathya Sai Baba Ashram is located in this area.The Whitefield railway station is located at Kadugodi.
Kasi Shiva Temple is one of the historical attractions and monuments of Kadugodi. History speaks here about the great Cholas era. It is said that the temple was built in 11th Century by Chola kings. The temple was renovated and the Maha Kumbabishekham, an Indian event, was held on 4 March 2013. Hundreds of people attended the Kumbabishekham.
An overpass across the river Dakshina Pinakini is more than 130 years old and it was built during British rule.
Railway track between the village divides the village into two parts. One remains as the old village and other parts of this place is an extension. Sri Sathya Sai Baba's ashram attracts world wide tourists to this place. On the other hand MVJ College of Engineering attracts people within India.
