KSOQ-FM, broadcasting in FM at 92.1 MHz is the simulcasting partner of San Diego country music station KSON, 97.3 MHz. The main studios are located near Mission Valley in San Diego.

KSOQ-FM's transmitter and antenna are located at 33°6′39″N 117°9′13″W / 33.11083°N 117.15361°W / 33.11083; -117.15361 in Escondido, California near Frank's Peak on Mount Whitney. The station broadcasts with 580 watts of effective radiated power (ERP).

KSOQ was previously assigned the call letters KFSD while owned by the Astor Broadcast Group, who chose a format of classical music acquired from Lotus Communications in 1997, which in 2001 switched to an alternative rock format as Premium 92/1, still with the KFSD call letters. KFSD now broadcasts adult standards music on AM radio at 1450 kHz.

Prior to that, the station was known as KOWF-FM, which broadcast country music from local studios in Escondido.

In 2003, KFSD-FM was purchased by Jefferson Pilot Communications and turned into the simulcasting partner for their popular KSON, which faced geographical challenges to its signal's penetration into the North County area of San Diego County as well as into southern Riverside County, problems largely solved by the addition of KSOQ.
