The station is currently owned by El Dorado Broadcasters and features programing from Fox News Radio, Premiere Radio Networks and Westwood One.[3]

History

KSMX was originally owned by John and Alice Bayless when it was KSMA, and the studios were originally downtown next to the old post office before Santa Maria's downtown renovation in the 1980s.

On 2007-11-30 the station changed call letters from KSMA to KSMX following a sale from Clear Channel Communications.[2]
