KSMI-LD channel 30 is an low-power television station in Wichita, Kansas. It is owned by Luken Communications and managed by the Great Plains Television Network, LLC.

KSMI was purchased by Luken in 2010. Great Plains began managing the station as KGPT-CA's sister station, and digitally converted the station. They currently broadcast programming offered by Luken Communications. On October 17, 2013, they moved to a new, taller tower, increased transmitter power to 15KW ERP, and changed to channel 30. Even though this change caused an increase in overall coverage, the signal can still be quite a challenge to receive. The immediate Wichita area gets an adequate signal, but many towns south Wichita have difficulty receiving KSMI due to KDCU, the Univision affiliate in Wichita that broadcasts on adjacent channel 31. This problem known as "adjacent channel interference" happens when part of the signal "spills into" an adjacent frequency, making it hard for the tuner to decide which channel to use. Cities north of Wichita, particularly Hutchinson, have difficulty receiving KSMI because of the adjacent frequency problem along with "co-channel interference". KGBD channel 30, the ABC affiliate in Great Bend, Kansas, and semi-satellite of KAKE in Wichita, Kansas, also broadcasts on the same frequency as KSMI, making it hard, if not impossible, to receiver KSMI, as the receiver cannot tell which channel 30 to use. This problem becomes worse at night when the airwaves bounce of the ionosphere, which permits the signal to travel farther than normal, which makes the "co-channel interference" worse.
