KRI Clurit (641) (Sickle in English) is an Indonesian Navy ship named after a curved blade weapon native to the Madurese people of East Java. The ship is a Fast Attack Craft(FAC), the first ship of its class.[citation needed]

History

The Clurit was made by PT Palindo Marine Industries, Tanjunguncang, Batam. KRI Clurit (641) is a fast-reaction attack craft. It prioritizes the element of surprise, rapid strike, destroying multiple targets at once and avoidance.

It carries C-705 subsonic anti-ship missiles, manufactured by the Chinese Aerospace Group, which are capable of carrying a conventional warhead of nearly 245 pounds (111 kg). The solid-fuel C-705 missile's range is around 45 miles but with a second stage it can reach targets up to 105 miles away. Its lowest cruise altitude is nearly 40 feet.[3]

The Clurit has a crew of 35 and carries a six-barreled 30 mm caliber cannon[4] and two 20mm cannons on the stern.

PT Palindo Marine Batam also worked with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering's Daesun Shipyard in South Korea on the design and construction of four Makassar class landing platform docks.

Another ship with the same specifications was commissioned by the Indonesian Navy in February 2012, named KRI Kujang 642.
