KRBB is a radio station operating in Wichita, Kansas. Identifying itself as "B98FM," the station runs an Adult Contemporary music format. KRBB broadcasts in HD Radio.

History

KRBB's format history includes Easy Listening (or Beautiful Music) as KBRA when it signed on in the 1950s. KBRA evolved to Adult Contemporary around 1982, and was briefly known as "KB-98". A few years later, the call letters changed to KLZS but maintained the Adult Contemporary format. Around the mid to late 80's, KLZS evolved into a NAC/Smooth Jazz format as "Magic 98", giving Wichita its first Smooth Jazz station at the time. KLZS changed ownership in 1989. Around the same time, KLZS stunted by playing a variety of songs for about a week, then flipped back to its present format and a call letter change to KRBB.

KRBB received competition in the form of KANR, now KHLT-FM, which flipped from regional Mexican to adult contemporary as "99.7 Lite FM" on May 1, 2013. This is the first significant competitor the station has had since 2002, when smooth jazz-formatted KWSJ flipped to a simulcast of KFH.
