KNXR is an easy-listening FM radio station in Rochester, Minnesota, US. It was founded by president and general manager Thomas H. Jones, and was first heard Christmas Eve 1965. The station has always played easy listening music, and features John Doremus' program Patterns in Music, weeknights from 7 to 10. The CBS Radio Network News is heard at the top of every hour.

The transmitter site and 950 foot tower are located directly east of Rochester, off County Highway 9. The tower is shared with 4 other area radio stations.

Minnesota's topography allows for extremely long-distance listening on account of the tower's location, height, and power output. Despite the hilly topography of Western Wisconsin, KNXR broadcasts can often be heard along Interstate 94 between US Route 63 at exit 19 and Wisconsin Highway 29 at exit 52 near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

FMeXtra

The station experiments with an alternative digital radio standard known as FMeXtra.
