KJCE is a radio station in Austin, Texas. The station operates on 1370 kHz under the ownership of Entercom Communications. KJCE has maintained its talk format since 2002. Previously, KJCE was an Urban AC station branded as 'K-Juice 1370'. The current program director is Stephen Michael Kerr (only the station's second program director, behind Ryan Schuh). The current weekday lineup includes Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, Dave Ramsey, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and Clark Howard. Weekend programming showcases various national programs and local specialty shows. The station also broadcasts Texas A&M athletics.
The station is streamed online at its website (talk1370.com). The station formerly simulcast on the HD3 carrier of sister station Majic 95.5 as well as translator K242CC at 96.3 MHz; however, both dropped the KJCE simulcast and launched an Urban AC format on July 29, 2013 as "96.3 RNB".
KJCE began its life in the 1950s as KTXN, one of the first Spanish-language radio stations in Texas. It later became KOKE, the AM side of the legendary KOKE country radio brand in Austin in the 1970s. The station would later return to Spanish language as KMMM and also try Beautiful Music before switching to satellite-formatted Urban as K-Juice, where it switched calls to KJCE.
