KHCE-TV is a religious television station in San Antonio, Texas, broadcasting locally on digital channel 16 as an affiliate of TBN. Founded July 9, 1989, the station is owned by TBN, under the license name of San Antonio Community Educational TV, Inc., part of the TBN-owned Community Educational Television group.

KHCE's programming was also previously seen on a low-powered repeater in San Antonio, K20BW; this translator would cease operations in 2010. The translator is currently owned by Digital Networks - Southwest, LLC.

Local programming

KHCE offers 4 local shows: Joy in our Town (public affairs), Up with the Son (biblical studies) We Speak Inglés y Español (educational) and a local edition of Praise the Lord.

Digital television[1]

This station's digital signal, like most other full-service TBN owned-and-operated stations, carries five different TBN-run networks.

Channel Video Aspect PSIP Short Name Programming
23.1 480i 4:3 TBN Main TBN programming
23.2 TCC The Church Channel
23.3 JCTV JUCE TV
23.4 Enlace Enlace USA
23.5 SOAC Smile of a Child TV

TBN-owned full-power stations permanently ceased analog transmissions on April 16, 2009.

KHCE-TV discontinued regular programming on its analog signal, over UHF channel 23, on that date. The station's digital signal remained on its pre-transition UHF channel 16,[2] using PSIP to display KHCE-TV's virtual channel as 23 on digital television receivers.
