KGY-FM (96.9 FM, "South Sound Country") is a radio station broadcasting a country music format in the Seattle-Tacoma area.[1] The station is owned by KGY Inc. and licensed to McCleary, Washington. Locally owned and programmed, 96.9 KAYO is the South Sound's New Choice for Country Music.

History

On February 25, 2012 KGY-FM changed their format to country, branded as "South Sound Country".[2] It had previously been "96.9 The Sound" with "Cool Classics and Hot Hits," and before that, used the Real Country satellite classic country network.
