Kátai Tamás is a Hungarian avant-garde musician.[1] He is most notable for being in the avant-garde post- black metal group Thy Catafalque. He has been in a number of different bands and has also done numerous solo material.
In the Hungarian language, surnames come first and first names come after, so his first name is Tamás, while his surname is Kátai. This is why two different versions (Tamás Kátai, Kátai Tamás) can be found about his name.
