Just Ballade is the ninth studio album by Japanese R&B singer Misia, released December 16, 2009.[2] It is her first album released under Ariola Japan.[2] Just Ballade comes close two years after her last studio album, Eighth World, and is her first to include solely ballads.[2] It was released simultaneously with Misia's twenty-fourth single, "Hoshi no Yō ni...".[3] The album was released in three editions: two limited and the regular CD only edition.[4] The limited edition type A includes the album in Blu-spec CD format, a cardboard sleeve casing, and a bonus DVD containing 6 music videos.[4] The limited edition type B comes with a 28-page color booklet in a deluxe packaging.[4]

The album has yielded 6 singles, each of which have had a commercial tie-in. Several album tracks were also used in promotional campaigns leading up to their release. "Chiheisen no Mukōgawa e" served as ending theme for the TV Tokyo program World Business Satellite,[5] "Boku no Kimochi" as ending theme to the NTV program Himitsu no Kenmin Show,[6] and "Work It Out" as ending theme for the NTV program Jōhō Live Miyaneya.[6]

Just Ballade debuted at #3 on the daily Oricon albums chart with 17,846 copies sold[7] and at #4 on the weekly chart, selling 57,469 copies in its first week.[8] It has been certified Gold by the RIAJ.[9]
