Jussi Ilmari Pajunen (b. September 5, 1954 in Helsinki) is a Finnish politician of the National Coalition Party and mayor of Helsinki since 2005.

He has a B.Sc and M.Sc from the Helsinki School of Economics and MBA from INSEAD in France.[1] He speaks Finnish, Swedish, English, and French fluently. Pajunen was a member of the Liberal Party and a small group known as Reform Party Liberals. He moved to the larger National Coalition Party in 1996. He was a member of the city council for 8 years, and was the chairman of the city board in 2003-2005. He is the current mayor of Helsinki, Finland since 2005.

His salary as mayor is annually over 190 000€ without the fringe benefits.

Helsinki Chamber of Commerce

Jussi Pajunen is a member of the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce Delegation. The organization promotes interests of trade and industry in Southern Finland.[2]
