Julissa (born 8 April 1944) is a Mexican actress and producer. She is the daughter radio and television star Don Luis de Llano Palmer and actress Rita Macedo. She is the mother of a singer and an actor, Benny Ibarra and Alejandro Ibarra. She is also the sister of Televisa staff producer Luis de Llano Macedo.
Early Life and career
Music
At the age of 14, Julissa began her career by singing in a rock group called The Spitfires, which was formed by her brother, Luis de Llano Macedo. She won 2nd place in a radio competition and was signed by CBS. From 1961-1964 She recorded various rock albums for CBS as well as various soap opera.
Theatre
She began acting and producing in theatre, and is now one of Mexico's leading theatre producers and importing Broadway shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Pippin and many others.[1]
One production she participated in was the 1975 Mexican production of The Rocky Horror Show, which featured, as a member of the chorus, a young Aida Pierce.

Julissa was inducted into the Paseo de las Luminarias in 1987 for her work in movies, television, theater and the recording industry, joining her parents. Her handprints would soon be joined by those of her brother; all four members of the De Llano-Macedo family have been honored in the Paseo.
