Julia Peyton-Jones

Julia Peyton-Jones OBE (b. 1952[1]) is co-director of the Serpentine Gallery, London together with Hans-Ulrich Obrist. Peyton-Jones studied painting at the Royal College of Art between 1975–78,[2] but did not continue a career as a professional artist. Two of her works still hang in the Bank of England. She was a curator at the Hayward Gallery before she became the director of the Serpentine Gallery in 1991. Peyton-Jones oversaw a major refurbishment of the galleries. She was awarded the OBE in 2003.
