Jule Rivlin was a college men's basketball coach and professional basketball player. He was the head coach of Marshall from 1955 to 1963. He coached Marshall to a 100-88 record, winning one Mid-American Conference championship and one NCAA tournament appearance. He played college basketball at Marshall before playing three seasons in the National Basketball League for the Akron Goodyear Wingfoots and the Toledo Jeeps.[1][2]

Personal
Married Esther Komesar(1926-2004) on November 18, 1945. They were married until his death. They had 5 children, 1 son, Jerry and 4 daughters, Randy, Sherryl, Susan and Felicia. He had 7 grandchildren, Joel, Carrie, Ray, Kelley, Erin, Hailey and Cody. At the time of his death he had 1 great grandchild, Ethan.
