Jude Perera (born 27 May 1953) is the State Member for Cranbourne District in the Victorian Legislative Assembly. Perera was born in Sri Lanka, and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Jaffna. He became a market researcher and held IT positions in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia.
Perera was elected to the Victorian Parliament in 2002 and has served on the Scrutiny of Acts and Regulations Committee 2003-06 and has been Chair of the Family and Community Development Committee since September 2007. He is the Secretary of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of India. [1] [2]
