Jozef Geirnaert

Jozef Lodewijk Geirnaert (1791, Eeklo 1859, Ghent), was a 19th-century painter from Belgium.

Biography

According to the RKD he was the pupil of Joseph Paelinck and Willem Jacob Herreyns.[1] He is known for portraits and historical allegories, and became the teacher of Edouard Auguste Wallays and Jacques Louis Godineau.[1]
