Joy's Green is a village in the Forest of Dean in West Gloucestershire, England. The village is in the civil parish of the neighbouring village of Lydbrook.
General
The village contains a Post Office and Village Shop and a Recreation Ground with playground equipment, a football pitch and climbing equipment. It consists of mostly Two Rivers council houses. There is also currently new houses being built and put on the market.
Joys Green County Primary School which is now closed in late 2008 only took on about 15 Pupils as most students living at Joys Green attended Lydbrook. The School is now used as a Young Peoples Directorate where Lakers, Forest E-Act formerly Haywood and other Secondary Schools students with exclusions go.
Joys Green Village Shop used to run an initiative that would help cut back on litter bugs in the village. BBC NEWS and the NEWSROUND team ran a story on it and it actually got put on TV.
