Joshua Plante is an American politician from Maine. Plante, a Democrat, represents District 145 in the Maine House of Representatives, which includes Berwick and neighboring Lebanon. He earned a B.S. in Communications & Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2010. He is a lifelong resident of Berwick.[1]
Plante serves on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, and was appointed to serve on the State Council for Juvenile Supervision.
Notable Political Stances:
* He opposed Right to Work legislation, saying about unions "Why is it that paying for the service they have provided for you such a bad thing?" * He supported raising Maine's minimum wage to $9.00 per hour, arguing that full-time work should not force anyone to need government assistance
