Josh Jenkins (born 8 February 1989) is a professional Australian rules football player at the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Essendon in the 2011 Rookie Draft, with pick # 12. He spent the season playing for Essendon's VFL affiliate, the Bendigo Bombers, before being traded to Adelaide at the end of 2011, in exchange for a National Draft pick upgrade. He made his debut in Round 7, 2012, against Geelong at Football Park.[1]
In 2013 he switched his guernsey number from number 20 to 4 after Kurt Tippett controversially left the club and was drafted by Sydney. Jenkins has been dubbed as Tippett's replacement.[2]
