Joseph Gatt (born 3 December 1974) is an English actor.

Early life

Born and brought up in Kensington, London,[1] Gatt began his professional training at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a Bachelor's degree.[2]

Career

Actor

After graduating from drama school in London, Gatt shot his first film role in Greece, playing opposite Oliver Reed, in Orpheus & Eurydice.[3][4] Among other roles, Gatt performed in Miss Saigon, produced by Cameron Mackintosh[5] 'Len Miller' in ITV's police drama The Bill[6] Saurian, for the Sci-Fi Channel[7][8] 'Incubus' in Killing Ariel[9] and 'Uber Phantom' in the horror film Pulse[10] produced by Wes Craven, and 'Luke' in Mary Lambert's vampire series 'Dark Path Chronicles'.[11] Gatt has also performed leading roles as a motion capture actor[12] for Sony Computer Entertainment including 24: The Game and 'Rohn' in Lair.

Gatt voices Lord Scourge in the LucasArts/Bioware game Star Wars: The Old Republic and several characters on the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. [citation needed]

Other recent notable roles for Gatt have been as "Lars", a recurring guest-star in Illeana Douglas' Easy to Assemble, a guest-star in Eagleheart opposite Chris Elliott, as Rebecca Romijn's right-hand man, "Agent Hawk" in the NBC series Chuck, and in a hilarious role playing Ponda Baba opposite Christian Slater in the Star Wars fan favorite, "Breaking In - Episode XIII".

Recently, Gatt brought to life the role of "The Albino" in the hit HBO/Cinemax show Banshee opposite Antony Starr and Ben Cross, to much critical & fan acclaim.

Gatt played "Frost Giant Grundroth" in Marvel Studios' Thor, opposite Anthony Hopkins and directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Gatt played Science Officer 0718 in the J. J. Abrams-directed Star Trek Into Darkness (2013).[13][14][15]

In 2013, he landed a role on the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Gatt will play a yet unknown character, but was previously thought to have been playing Styr, the Magnar of Thenn.[16]

Model

Gatt has sustained a successful career as a model in Europe and the United Kingdom working for Giorgio Armani, Vogue UK, British Telecom, Levi's, Northern Rock, Gucci and Guess Jeans among others.[17]
