José Ron (born Edgar Jose Ron Vazquez, August 6, 1981 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) is a Mexican actor known for his performances in telenovelas, series and theater. Ron promotes the animal rights, he efforts to stop the hunt and human abuse of animals. He is also involved in nature and environmental causes, as planting trees and raise awareness to people about that.[1] [2]


Biography

He was born Edgar Jose Ron Jr. Vazquez in Guadalajara City, Jalisco. His father Jose is a chemical engineer and his mother Martha a housekeeper. He has three younger siblings, Alejandro, Julio y Daniel. After her parents' separation, at the age of 18 Ron, moved to Mexico, Distrito Federal to study performing acts, then he enrolled at the CEA Televisa's Institute, where he trained for three years (2002-2004) and appeared in several stage productions of that academy. He also began experimenting with drugs and alcohol.[3]

Career

Early work: 2002–2004

When he was twenty two years old, Ron had a small part in the soap opera Mujer de Madera(2004), but his professional acting career detonate in 2005, when he played Enzo in the high-success Rebelde, also he played at the television series Bajo el mismo Techo playing Eugenio. He next appeared was in 2006 as Patricio in the soap opera Codigo Postal. In 2007 he played a playboy man named Jorge in the remake Muchachitas como tu. In 2008, Ron gain his first leading role, he starred with Ana Brenda Contreras in the soap opera Juro que te Amo playing Jose Maria a good and a kind guy who felt in love her friend Violeta.

Breakthrough: 2009–2012

Ron's career prospects began to improve after he won a TVyNovelas Awards for his performance in Televisa's Los Exitosos Perez(2009). She portrayed Tomas Arana, a gay son of the Broadcast's news owner, played by Rogelio Guerra. The soap opera was very well received by critics. Also he played Alex in the Televisa's Locas de Amor.

Ron returned to television's soap operas in the 2010 playing a leading role in Cuando me enamoro. Later that year, he appeared in TV series Tiempo Final, part of an ensemble cast that included Julio Bracho, Maria Sorte among others. The series received predominantly positive reviews, and Ron was praised in particular.

In 2011, he was his first appearance in theater in the play Divorciemonos Mi Amor, later he starred in the Jose Alberto Castro's high success soap opera La Que No Podia Amar, alongside Jorge Salinas, Ana Brenda Contreras, and Ignacio Lopez Tarso among others. The soap opera was very acclaimed by the critics and was a big success worldwide, his character of Gustavo, gave him her second TVyNovelas Awards for his performance as the romantic, kind, and sweet guy who loves unconditionally.

In 2012, he came back to the theatres in the play Dulce Pajaro de Juventud and in El Jorobado de Notredame playing Fredo, later this year he starred a leading role alongside Ariadne Diaz in the soap opera La Mujer del Vendaval. He portrayed Alessandro a rich, handsome, humble, brave and gentle man who drives crazy in love about Marcela. The soap opera received good reviews by the media, lauded for the chemistry between the two leads roles. The soap opera also made a revival returned and raised the rating of this hour in Televisa's soap opera's block.

In 2013, Ron returned to the theatre playing Miguel Angel in the musical comedy Perfume de Gardenia, at the end of that year he was invited to play a leading role in the soap opera project of Giselle Gonzalez, which is in the pre-production.

Relationships

Ron and Coch separated in 2007 and he began a relationship with the actress Begona Narvaez on the set of Muchachitas como Tu (2007), the relationship ended in this year. In 2008, media rumored that he was involved with his co-star Ana Brenda Contreras. In 2009, meanwhile playing Martin in the soap opera Los Exitosos Perez there were rumors that he was involved with the actress Paty Diaz and later he had an shortly romance with a model from Argentina named Barbara that concluded in 2010. In 2010, he was related to the Mexican singer RBD, Anahi and with her co-star in the soap opera Cuando me Enamoro (2010) Silvia Navarro. Although, in this year he began a relationship with Adrian Uribe's ex-wife named Karla Pineda, but they finally broke up and separated in 2012.

In the middle of 2012, Ron was alleged to have started an affair with her co-star Ariadne Diaz during filming the soap opera La Mujer del Vendaval(2012). He denied this on several occasions, Ron later in 2013 admitted that they "fell in love" on the set. Ron and Diaz did not publicly comment on the nature of their relationship until final days of January 2013, when Diaz confirmed to the showbizz media they are together, since that their relationship have notable for fervent media attention.
