José Luis Abajo Gómez (born June 22, 1978 in Madrid) is a Spanish épée fencer.

Abajo won the silver medal in the épée team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after losing to France in the final. He accomplished this with his team mates Ignacio Canto, Juan Castañeda and Eduardo Sepulveda Puerto.

He won the bronze medal in the Épée competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, defeating Hungarian Gábor Boczkó.[1]
