Jordan Gavin (born 22 September 1982) is an Australian ice hockey and inline hockey player who plays for the Canberra Knights in the Australian Ice Hockey League. He is a member of the Australian national ice hockey team and Australian national inline hockey team.

Playing career

Gavin first played for the Canberra Knights of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) in 2006.[1] During the 2006 AIHL season Gavin recorded a personal best of 12 points, six goals and six assists.[1] The following season he repeated his best, again with six goals and six assists. Gavin is currently in his seventh season with the Knights and is playing in the 2012 AIHL season.[1]

Gavin was first called up to represent Australia in 2011 where he joined the national senior team to compete at the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament which was being held in Melbourne, Australia.[2] Australia won the tournament and Gavin finished the tournament with one goal and six penalties in minutes.[1][2] The following year Gavin was again selected for the national senior team to compete in the 2012 IIHF World Championship Division I Group B tournament which was being held in Krynica, Poland. Australia finished last and were relegated to Division II Group A for the following year while Gavin failed to score any points in his five games of the tournament.[3]

As an inline hockey player Gavin has played for the national inline hockey team on four occasions. In 2008 he represented Australia at the 2008 IIHF Men's InLine Hockey World Championship Division I tournament, scoring seven goals.[4] At the 2009 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship Division I tournament he scored six goals and three assists and finished with a plus-minus of +5.[5] The following year Gavin represented Australia for the third year in a row in the Division I tournament, finishing with four points in six games.[6] In 2011 he competed at the 2011 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship Division I tournament being held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Australia finished fourth after losing to Austria in the bronze medal game and Gavin finished the tournament with three goals and one assist.[7][8] In 2012 Gavin competed in his fifth IIHF InLine Hockey World Championships where he scored 13 points, his highest at any of the tournaments.[9]

Gavin was born on 22 September 1982 in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.[1]
