Jonathan Dedering (born July 14, 1986) is a progressive politician from Madison, Wisconsin.[1] Jonathan was formerly an organizer with Students for a Democratic Society. In September 2007, Dedering was a co-organizer of a controversial demonstration in support of Josh Gaines, an Iraq War veteran, who returned his medals to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.[2] Dedering organized a school supplies drive as a counter protest to a Westboro Baptist Church rally on July 7, 2012.[3] Jonathan was the Green Party's candidate for State Assembly in District 78 in the November 2012 election, but was defeated by an overwhelming margin.[4] His current job is running a local political campaign in Madison, WI, where he has been criticized for his involvement.
