Jonathan Bale (born 4 June 1986) is an Australian ice hockey player currently playing for the Sydney Bears in the Australian Ice Hockey League.
Playing career
Bale first played for the Brisbane Blue Tongues of the Australian Ice Hockey League in 2005.[1] During his first season with the Blue Tongues Bale played in eight games and managed to record only two assists. Bale has continued to play for the Blue Tongues and moved with the team when they relocated to Gold Coast, Queensland and became the Gold Coast Blue Tongues. Bale had his best season in terms of points in 2010, scoring four goals and nine assists in 24 games.[1] In 2013 Bale left the Blue Tongues and signed with the Sydney Bears.[1]
Bale was first selected to represent Australia in 2013 where he joined the national senior team to compete in the 2013 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament being held in Zagreb, Croatia. Australia finished the tournament in fourth place while Bale failed to record any points and finished with a plus/minus of –1.[2]
Personal life
Bale was born on 4 June 1986 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He holds multiple citizenship for both Australia and Canada.[1]
