Jon Kay (born 1970 in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire) is an English television presenter known for his work on BBC News.
Early life
Kay grew up in Cheshire, and at 18 attended the University of Exeter in Devon. After graduation in 1992, he joined the BBC as a trainee local reporter.
Journalism career
After training, Kay became a reporter for BBC Radio Bristol, making an early documentary on the development of Bradley Stoke.[1]
Kay has worked as a regional reporter for BBC Points West and for BBC London News. He is a news correspondent for BBC News covering the South-West of the country. He is also an occasional presenter on BBC News Channel and a regular relief presenter on BBC Breakfast.
