Johne Murphy (born 10 November 1984 in Rathangan, County Kildare, Ireland) is an Irish rugby union footballer who plays Wing, Full-back[1] or Centre for Munster Rugby in the Pro 12 and Heineken Cup.

Munster

Murphy left Leicester to join Munster Rugby for the 2010/2011 season.[2] He made his full debut for Munster in the opening league fixture against Aironi on 4 September 2010.[3]

He won the 2010-11 Magners League in his first season at the province.[4] Murphy signed a two-year contract extension with Munster in March 2012.[5]

Ireland

Murphy played for the Ireland A side that was defeated by England Saxons on 1 February 2008.[6][7][8]

He joined the Ireland squad for their 2010 Summer Tour as a replacement for Shane Horgan and played against the Barbarians in June 2010.
